Into The Woods (West End Revival 2026-27)
West End | Limited Run Revival | Noël Coward Theatre | Opens October 7, 2026 (Investment)
Creative Team
This celebrated, contemporary revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's masterpiece Into the Woods is helmed by director Jordan Fein. The staging features an exquisitely conceived, gothic fairytale scenic and costume design by Tony Award winner Tom Scutt, lighting by Aideen Malone, video design by Roland Horvath, and a rich, text-focused soundscape by Adam Fisher.
Synopsis
A darkly comic mash-up of Brothers Grimm stories, the musical follows a Baker and his Wife who venture into the woods to break a family curse of childlessness placed on them by a vengeful Witch. To lift the spell, they must secure four magical elements: a cow, a cape, hair, and a slipper. While their paths collide with Cinderella, Jack, and Little Red Riding Hood to secure their Act I "Happily Ever After," Act II introduces a devastating, real-world look at grief, community responsibility, and the true consequences of getting what you wish for.
Production History
The production originally premiered in December 2025 at London's Bridge Theatre, playing a highly acclaimed, extended engagement through May 2026. Marking the first-ever West End transfer for a Bridge Theatre production, this definitive staging will officially open at the Noël Coward Theatre on September 22, 2026, for a strictly limited engagement running through January 9, 2027.

A runaway critical juggernaut, the production dominated the London theater scene. It received a staggering 11 nominations at the 2026 Olivier Awards, ultimately taking home the coveted trophy for Best Musical Revival, alongside an award for Best Lighting Design.
